Product Information
All Sterling Silver is handcrafted by me—shaped, soldered, hammered and polished.(The chains that come with the pendants are purchased from a supplier.)
My silver supplier sources first from Canada, then the U.S.North American silver mining is governed by world-class standards.I use a homemade, natural pickling solution in my silver-smithing process.
Most all of my beaded designs are made using professional beading wire—it is good & strong, but will kink if bent.To store, keep beaded strands in a circular shape, or hang.
All beads are glass, silver, silver-plated, semi-precious gems, or genuine Swarovski crystal.
Non-handcrafted clasps are lead-free, and either silver-plated, nickel-plated, or Sterling Silver.
Pieces come with my jeweller's mark (except earrings).
Cleaning Silver
It is natural for silver to tarnish. The beauty of silver though, is not only its look and feel, but also that it can always be restored to its original sparkle.
To minimize tarnish: Wear/polish with soft cloth regularly, and remove when doing chores, showering, swimming, Sun-bathing, etc.Store air-tight with a piece of chalk, or silica-gel pouch (recycled from a pill bottle).
To remove tarnish: Line a flat-bottomed glass dish with aluminium foil, shiny side up.Place jewellery pieces on foil—silver must be touching the foil, and pieces not be overlapping.Sprinkle over pieces with one teaspoon of salt, and one tablespoon of baking soda, and add one cup of boiling water.Pour gently so as not to disturb the pieces.Soak for five minutes, then remove (do not use rubber gloves), rinse and dry thoroughly.
